Sometimes old Brands lay dead and buried, sometimes they come back to haunt us.
Join with the AIGA Metro-North Chapter just before Halloween for a frighteningly fun evening of dead brand talk, pageantry, and celebration.
- Steff Geissbuhler talks from the crypt...
- Food, drink, music, talk!
- Meet famous brands and branders--dead and alive
- Dead Brands Costume Pageant (for those that choose to come as their favorite dead, near-dead or resurrected brand)
The James House Mansion was built in 1851 and is a magnificent mix of Victorian Gothic and Italianate architecture. The perfect place for a dead brands celebration!
Sponsored by Pepsi Max!
SEE THE DRIVING AND TRAIN INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
This is the link to the Mansion's driving directions. http://www.jameshousemansion.com/driving/
THE ADDRESS THEY GIVE WILL NOT GET YOU TO THE MANSION!!!!
Our favorite and easy way to go... Just take 9 (North Broadway) and go in the main entrance for Phelps Memorial Hospital. Make a right onto the Hospital Access Road. Make a left onto Kendal Way, then watch for the James House Mansion driveway sign on your left. Pull up, park, and party!
If you are coming from the city and you don't have a ride, you can take a MTA Metro-North Hudson Line train to the Tarrytown station. Express service between Tarrytown station and New York City's Grand Central Terminal takes about 35 minutes. Taxis swarm the Tarrytown station at the arrival of every train, and it is a very short drive to the James House Mansion (just behind Phelps Memorial Hospital.)
