dd:IMPACT Conference "The Connected Life" Presented by Digital DUMBO
Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM (EDT)
Brooklyn, United States
A half-day conference created by Digital DUMBO to explore how the internet, apps, devices, data, and networks are changing our lifestyles - from health, shopping, and entertainment, to productivity, work, and entire cities.
dd:IMPACT was created by Digital DUMBO to showcase digital innovation that fundamentally disrupts, evolves and advances business and culture.
Digital DUMBO connects communities at the intersection of digital and culture, globally.
We're a media company that produces live events, conferences, content, and custom experiences that connect companies & brands with our community of digital tastemakers, talent, and executives.
Digital DUMBO started in 2009 as a social gathering for innovative companies in the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) neighborhood of Brooklyn, a six-block area with over 100 media and technology companies. We've since expanded to Boston, London, Dallas, and Valencia, Spain.
With over 13,000 members, Digital DUMBO is one of the fastest growing digital communities in the world.
Rarely is culture and lifestyle explored through the lens of digital. Our new DGTL_CLTR Series sets out to reverse that trend and explore how leading lifestyle brands and influencers have leveraged digital to build brands, spread culture, and spark movements. To kick things off, our first event features a panel discussion with the founders of three of the world's biggest streetwear brands, 10Deep, Mishka, and Rocksmith, moderated by fashion blogger and designer, Heron Preston. Sticking to our usual ways, we'll follow the interactive discussion with DJ, drinks, and shoulder brushing with some of the city's finest creative minds!
