Are you still confused if you, as a small business owner, need to provide health insurance? Are you trying to figure out how to qualify for the small business tax credit? Alexandra Piotrowski, SBA Economic Development Specialist, will present an informational session to explain how the Affordable Care Act may affect your small business. She will explain the Employer Shared Responsibility Payment, who qualifies in 2015, what makes you eligible for the small business tax credit, and what is happening with the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) market place.

The Washington, DC Women's Business Center (DCWBC) is a business development organization that serves women entrepreneurs in the Washington, DC Capitol Region. The DC WBC is managed by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC). The DC WBC provides training and consulting to assist in the growth of women-owned businesses in federal procurement opportunities.
The DC WBC is funded in part by the Small business Administration (SBA) to provide training and counseling to women entrepreneurs, especially women who are economically or socially disadvantaged. The DC WBC has partnered with DC MBDA Business Center (DCMBC) to provide additional management and business consulting assistance to increase economic parity in performance between minority and non-minority companies.
