Hey Students! Here's your opportunity to fight for a healthy ocean and clean community!
This educational summit will give you the opportunity to become a huge part of Heal the Bay's Day Without a Bag campaign, by providing you with the training and tools to fight for a bag free L.A.!
This summit will include breakout workshops on leadership skills needed to organize a campaign, how to use their powerful voices to support a healthy environment, and how to recruit partners from all throughout the community to join us in the effort. As Los Angeles City Council prepares to ban the single use plastic bag in the spring, let's make sure our voices are heard!
This training is intended for high school and college club leaders and will ready participants for building their campus teams in preparing for the Day Without a Bag on December 20th. Students will learn how to map out their projects and target areas for the campaign, interact and collaborate with businesses to secure partnerships, and build on a unified message to help spread the word. All those in attendance will enjoy a free lunch to start the day, as well as T-Shirts marking their participation in the campaign. HtB Staff will also sign off on community service hours for their participation in the summit, as well as for work following the training leading up to the day.
So join us in the fight for a healthy ocean!
(When you register, please be sure to include your school name in the 'Team' section of the form)
