Day at the Derby (University Transplant Guild Fundraiser)
Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (CDT)
This is the third annual Day at the Derby at beautiful Providence Hill Farm. Get ready for a fundraising event that will knock your hat off. Ladies are encouraged to wear hats, and men are encouraged to wear colorful ties. There will be a winner for the most original hat and tie, so don't be bashful about putting your ensemble together. The Jackson All Star Band will provide music, and you will have the opportunity to watch the real Kentucky Derby on televisions while enjoying mint juleps and heavy hors d' oeuvres. Because we are determined to support our transplant patient's needs, there will also be a live and silent auction. We look forward to seeing you on May 5, 2012. Do not worry if it rains because we have vans that will take you from the parking lot to the beautiful stable and living area. Directions to Providence Hill Farm can be found at www.providencehillfarm.com
When & Where
University Transplant Guild
The University Transplant Guild is a non-profit organization which exists to support University transplant patients and families during their time of need.
The Guild consists of volunteers who have a passion for helping patients who are preparing to undergo organ transplant or have undergone an organ transplant. Every member of the Guild is committed to providing financial support to transplant patients and their families. Currently, no such assistance exists for heart transplant patients, and similar funding for kidney transplant patients is limited. Net proceeds raised at University Transplant Guild events will be donated for direct transplant patient care and family assistance.
