The Event

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we've set out to teach you how technology can make finding the love of your life much easier. Join us for a fun night of flirting and education to get your love life on the right track.

7:00PM-7:30PM Check-in, Shopping, Flirting & Drinks

Your ticket includes two free drinks (beer, soda & wine) and a Tekserve shopping credit. Come get your buzz on, meet some fellow singles and enjoy some enchanting melodies before the main event.

7:30PM-8:00PM Bentley McBentleson: The Science Behind What You Should (And Should NOT!) Say In Your Dating Profile

You're a funny, intelligent person with many interesting hobbies and you enjoy all the hit television shows, why do you only get messages from weirdos, perverts and those who begin a conversation with "hey, wuts up?" We'll take a look at the language behind an online dating profile, going beyond what is written and to discover what is being read. Using moment-by-moment dial technology, the same technology used to gauge reactions to political debates on CNN, we tested a variety of OKCupid profiles in focus groups and expanded upon our results with follow up interviews. Come find out if describing your personality as "Liz Lemon-like" is the best way to attract the ideal digital mate.

8:00PM-8:30PM Jazmin Hupp: Avoiding Horror Story First Dates...And Finding the Love of Your Life In The Process

You've perfected your online profile but haven't found that special someone yet. Jazmin will take you through the most common mistakes made by online daters including the first message, where to meet, and how to act on your first date to ensure you'll get to a second one. Jazmin went on 72 first dates in 6 months to learn the art and science of first dates so you don't have to.

8:30PM-9:00PM Shopping, Flirting and More Drinks

After absorbing your fill of dating wisdom, discuss your favorite topics with other singles and enjoy more drinks.

9:00PM-Later... Flirting and Drinks Moves to the Guilty Goose

Now that you have the skills, meet some friendly folks of all orientations.

Special Prize for One Attendee

For one lucky attendee present at the event, we'll hold a drawing for a special prize. Prize will be a 1 hour dating profile photo shoot with Bentley McBentleson and a 1 hour consultation on how to improve your online dating profile with Jazmin Hupp.
