Dark Dark Dark - A breathless exhalation of pastoral psychedelicism.
Gentle yet seemingly poised on a precipice, the instrumentation fades
in and out of time, punctuated by ghostly moments and pinioned by
glorious, windblown vocals. This is the sound of funeral homes, back
roads, and bedrooms in the early morning.

"Invie sings with a flexible, penetrating voice, shedding both light and shadow on the meaning of her lyrics." -- NPR

"Perhaps Dark Dark Dark's true accomplishment here is how they mix sounds and influences so effortlessly. They comprise a tight, intuitive unit, especially when the instruments swirl together into an otherworldly eddy of sound." -- Pitchfork

A Hawk and a Hacksaw - Byzantine, exotic, and lush. This is the sound
of East meeting West, with a distinctly old-world, European feel. This
is the band that gave Beirut his start and helped shape his sound.
They have maintained an even more foreign, mysterious flavor to their
own recordings. Magical.

"Though so much of A Hawk and a Hacksaw's Balkan folk-inspired music is tied to a particular sound from a particular place, the passion they imbue into their performances seems to know no bounds"  7.8

"Délivrance is a booze-stained postcard with unusual postmarks and "wishh you were here" written in bold on the back" 8/10 NME

"evocative, aromatic delights. A triumph of ensemble playing" The Wire

Pillars and Tongues - Squeezebox and string combine with obscure,
subtle percussion to create an elemental droned-out wash. Drifting,
evocative, and otherworldly, like music from outer space channelled
through familiar instruments.
