“Daring to Dream in Difficult Days” with Shaneen Harris (GRS’97)
Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
Please join the African American Alumni Association and the Office of Multicultural Affairs for an inspirational evening with Shaneen Harris (GRS’97). Harris will share a motivational message: “Daring to Dream in Difficult Days.”
After following the blueprint to achieve the American dream, Harris was left feeling empty and without purpose. “I worked hard, earned college degrees, had a career, money, house and cars, but yet felt like something was missing,” she says. Harris will talk about how she created new dreams and purposes in her life and how others can continue to reach goals, then create new ones.
Harris has been a motivational speaker for two years, expanding on her lifelong commitment to use first-hand experiences and encouragement to uplift and mentor others.
Light appetizers will be served.
We look forward to seeing you there!
