Dare to Jam is a free games jam hosted at the Caird hall in Dundee.
Run in conjunction with Dare Protoplay, Abertay University and Dare to be Digital the event starts on Friday 12th of August and runs for 3 days finishing mid day on Sunday the 14th. Teams or individuals can present their finished projects at midday on the Sunday. Attendees can start their projects on either the friday or saturday and although the venue must close in an evening participants are encouraged to continue working on their projects after hours.
Doors open on the Friday at 10 am and the Jam kicks off at 10:30. The Caird hall closes at 6pm each night but opens again at 10am the next day. The Jam officially ends in the early afternoon on Sunday with a presentation of all the games.
The internet connection in the Caird hall is very slow and has been allocated to the presenting companies so bring your own mobile broadband if you wish but also make sure you have eveything you may need to do your project.
We have 50 seated tickets issued on a first come first served basis however we have overflow space so people can sit anywhere they like within the very large upper balcony.
This is a great chance to meet and collaborate with people in the games industry have fun and make a game...you may even be able to win shiny badges.
