Description

We Ride Better Together! Come join us each Saturday morning in the Refinery parking lot ready to ride at 8:00am. You need to bring a road bike, helmet and water.

We will try to have appropriate rides planned for all levels of fitness and cycling ability. A shorter slower ride will cover a 15 to 25 mile distance, usually on the Aliso Creek Bike Path, at a pace of about 9 to 14 mph. A longer faster ride will cover 45 to 60 miles on South Orange County's spacious bike lanes at an average pace of about 16 to 18 mph, depending on the amount of climbing on the route. Intermediate riders may wish to ride approximately 30 to 35 miles at a 12 to 15 mph pace by extending the slower ride on the bike path or shortening the longer ride on the road.

We usually stop for rest/snacks/coffee/socializing at some point during the rides, and all the rides usually have returned to the Refinery parking lot by noon.

We always have a "no-drop" policy, but please keep your bike maintained in good working order and have a realistic assessment of your cycling ability.

Some of us may want to train for and participate in nearby centuries and charity rides. Come out and ride, and we'll talk about it. Search for "Saddleback Cycling" on Facebook and join the group.
