Event Details

Dana Johnson is a professor of English at USC, and won the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction for her story collection Break Any Woman Down. The LA Times calls her debut novel Elsewhere, California "as heartbreaking as it is humorous, powerful as it is poignant." Avery Arlington moves with her family from the violent streets of LA to the suburbs of West Covina at a young age.  Her story is told in an impeccably knit dual narrative between past and present.
