Since their first release fifteen years ago, the Daddy Mack Blues Band has garnered critical acclaim for their authentic brand of Memphis blues. Brothers James and Harold Bonner continue to provide an infectious groove as rhythm guitarist and bassist behind legendary blues man Daddy Mack Orr on lead guitar and vocals. “Fast” Eddie Lester provides the tasteful, old-school drums for this unique ensemble. Beale Street Caravan will be recording the performance for an international radio broadcast with an estimated 2.4 million listeners the following week. The band will be performing songs from their new CD Blues Central as well as fan favorites from their previous five releases. Special guests expected to appear include Stephen Shoel and Carl Wolfe. Accolades worthy of mention in recent years include 2011’s Mississippi Blues Trail marker ceremony honoring Daddy Mack Orr; AARP Magazine’s feature story celebrating Daddy Mack’s musical successes later in life, and most recently, the Tennessee Crossroads PBS broadcast featuring an in-depth look at the iconic bluesman.
