This class is an introduction to Gujarti cuisine. It features the following three dishes: Kadhi (yogurt and chick pea flour based tangy curry), Alloo & Guvar Shaak (curried potatoes and cluster beans), and Kantola (dry fried Indian gourd; green vegetable with spices).
All entrees are sampled with ready-made methi Theplas, Gujarti flatbread seasoned with fenugreek.

When & Where
Chef Teena, Principal Instructor and Co-founder of CURRYSUTRA, has more than 20 years of experience in the Food Service Industry where she was able to demonstrate and hone a multitude of skills including food preparation and presentation, catering and banquet service, host and waitress duties, and managerial talents. However, she began her culinary journey at her family owned and operated Steakhouse, American roadside, and Indian restaurants.
Authentic Indian vegetarian & vegan cuisine is the foundation for Teena's unique culinary style. She is passionate about providing an awareness of plant-based foods and the medicinal benefits of Indian spices & herbs. Teena is also fond of teaching people how to cook Indian in the pressure cooker. You don't want to miss her classes!
