CUriosity3: The Cell in Art and Science
Monday, September 30, 2013 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
CUriousity3 is a public seminar program addressing the intersection between Arts and Science with a view to start interesting discussions and debate around the common ground of creative practice and scientific discovery.
Our launch event welcomes eminent speakers Oron Catts, Director of the SymbioticA program for Biological Art at the Univeristy of Western Australia and Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic, Professor of Biological Engineering at Columbia University.
Join us on the Columbia Morningside Campus for short presentations from each speaker, followed by an informal discussion session open to all, with a chance to ask questions of our speakers about the goals of their research and practice, and how their approaches influence society at large.
For extra insight into the research work of Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic please view this short film: http://news.columbia.edu/tissue
