The Third Annual Cup of Hope Luncheon is a domestic violence awareness event that will coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness month and benefit The Salvation Army's Joy D. Baker Center. All Occasion Catering will be catering the luncheon in the beautiful, fully remodeled Jackson Terminal. Guests will be able to participate in a silent auction and fun shopping experience to benefit the women and children of the shelter.
Our guest speaker will be Rebekah Lyons, author of Freefall to Fly: A Breathtaking Journey Toward a Life of Meaning. Through emotive writing and speaking, Rebekah reveals her battles to overcome anxiety, depression, and consumer impulses. As a self-confessed mess, she wears her heart on her sleeve, a benefit to friends and readers alike.
The Joy D. Baker Center serves as a shelter for women with or without children affected by domestic violence as well as homeless women with children. In addition to providing housing and meals, our 24-hour staff are counselors and liaisons for the court and school systems and assist with job placement or referrals to other agencies.
Parking for the event is available in the public parking lots along Jackson Avenue.
Small toiletry donations like toothpaste, toothbrushes and deodorant, will be taken at the door.
All donations and ticket proceeds go to The Salvation Army's Joy D. Baker Center.
