Event Details

Each 4th Wednesday of the month, come and learn a little about a new culture and taste some delicious food from that culture as well.

This month's topic is Finland presented by Nick Furrow.

On the menu:

Spruce tip tea-This is a hot water infusion of the soft green tips spruce trees put out in spring.  It has a lemony refreshing taste and is high in vitamin C.

Potato barley flatbread-Mashed potatoes are mixed with eggs and barley flour, then formed into palm-sized flatbreads and baked in a hot oven.  The potato and egg keeps this unleavened bread soft.

Reindeer stew-Cook chopped bacon in a skillet then brown thinly sliced reindeer or beef in the fat. Add dark beer and sliced mushrooms.  Before serving mix in some butter.  Eat with the flatbread or with mashed potatoes.

A 5$ ingredient fee will be collected at the door.
