Looking for an opportunity to expand your professional network? Come to The Box Jelly on Thursday, September 26, from 6-9pm, for a chance to network with Chaminade alumni from various sectors across the state. Why Box Jelly? Besides it being Hawaii's first cooperative workspace and a fabulous venue, the owners are Chaminade alumni who came up with the idea in class a few years ago. And we like to support our alumni, of course!
Pupus? We've got it covered. Drinks? That too. Music, atmosphere, opportunities to mingle? It will all be there, along with a short presentation on CUH's scholarship program and an introduction to the new Director of Career Services, Angela Coloretti. Bring business cards or your smartphone, and get ready to make professional and social connections.
Space is limited to the first 40 people, and everyone must be 21+. We want to keep this small, because people tend to get lost in giant networking clusters, thus undermining the whole point. It's not about the number of cards you receive or clicks you get on your LinkedIn page - it's about the quality of the meeting.
When & Where
Kara is the Development and Communications Specialist at Chaminade University, specializing in scholarships and scholarship-donor relations. She has a BA from UOregon; MA from ClemsonU; and MEd from UHManoa. And because she was lucky enough to attend school on scholarships, she knows how vital alumni networking and scholarships are to a university and the society into which its students graduate.
