Table Read My First 5 Pages!
It's a new year and we're at a new location! We are happy to take our "Writers' Room" to The Fifty/50. But more on that below!
As always we are kicking off our first meeting with our popular Table Read.
The first 5 pages are critical to catching and maintaining a reader's
attention (especially if your reader is a producer, director, manager or agent). But it's equally important to hear your words spoken aloud -- preferably by professional actors.
CSN begins its exciting 2012 series with readings from the first five pages of several CSN members' scripts. Here's your chance to watch scripts in action, participate in feedback, and hear the valuable actors' perspective.
Please note that scripts were not chosen as "winners." Many factors went into the decision-making process such as offering a variety of genres and writing style.
The following writers will have their opening five pages read:
Eyes for an Eye by Riik Makkoogan
Beauty Pageant Redemption by Barbara Bloomquist
God Gets Fired by Ron Maede
Chairman of the Board Up by David Foreman
Catch as Catch Can by Christopher Cavanaugh
Man at the Top by Larry Shulruff
Year of the Pig by Liz Ellison
The True Story of Hammond VanOchre and His Amazing Steam Pig by Melissa Birk
