You may have heard about our program from a colleague, from your church or from one of your networking contacts.  Or you may have read about it in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution - either in the print edition or online:   http://www.ajc.com/lifestyle/crash-course-in-career-506362.html.

Our Crash Course was also covered in the Northside Neighbor and you can read their article online:  http://northside-neighbor.com/stories/CAREERCROSSROADS,163485

We have assembled a team of expert course facilitators -- volunteer leaders in the career ministry programs at area churches.  All are experienced both in business and in helping others learn the most effective ways to search for new career opportunities!  Most of them have also been through the same process that you are now going through, and understand the challenges you are facing.  For more information about our instructors, you will find biographical summaries below.

The $40 course fee covers direct costs of offering this program (online career assessments, printed materials, credit card processing) and scholarships for those unable to pay for the course.  Our volunteers are not compensated, and facilities are provided by our sponsoring church.  No one profits but you!

If you are not able to pay the $40 fee do not register at this time.  Send an email describing your situation to northatlantacrossroads@gmail.com.  If approved, you may be eligible to attend as a “scholarship” attendee.  If you are able to pay the $40, please do so in order to permit someone less fortunate to attend.

Charles - May 2010 class (landed new position 3 months after Crash course):   "The Crash course was a game changer for me. First class instructors, current curriculum and outstanding practice - all wrapped in a faith-based approach. My offerings have clarity, meaning and purpose."

Jan - October 2010 class (employed in less than 2 months after Crash course):    “I had been employed for over 12 years, so I was more unprepared for a job search in the atmosphere of 2010 than I could have ever imagined.  The "Crash Course" was very comprehensive and the class facilitators were friendly, supportive and skilled.  I would recommend the course to anyone in a job search who is unfamiliar with the "rules of the game" in this difficult market.”

Anne - Participated in the October 2010 classThe Crossroads Crash Course was the kick-in-the-pants that I needed to invigorate my job search.  The compressed time schedule meant that I HAD to do the self-work that was necessary to get the most out of the class. After every class I felt better about myself, my qualifications, skills and abilities.  While I haven't found a position yet, I am confident that one is out there and that I now have the job-seeking talents to find it and get it.  The Crash Course was the best thing that I could have done for my job search."

Attendance at ALL sessions is required because the material is cumulative, the order is important, and you will receive assignments that will prepare you for the next session.  Several hours of outside preparation for each session will be required for you to get full benefit from the course.  You need a computer with internet access to complete the outside assignments.  Many public libraries offer internet access.  Please register only if you agree to complete the outside work and attend all sessions. There are no "make-ups."

This class is open to everyone.  This program is provided by Crossroads Career Network member churches and volunteers committed to be a part of God's service to others.   You do not have to be a member of these churches (or of any church) to attend, although you are welcome to the career ministry programs, worship and fellowship activities at any of these churches.  If the class is full, add your name to the waitlist.  You will be notified if space becomes available and if not, you will receive information on future classes.

If you scroll to the top of this page, find the orange button that says    Order Now >   and click on that button and follow the instructions to register online.  Email to NorthAtlantaCrossroads@gmail.com if you have any questions regarding the course or the registration process.
