We would like to invite you to participate in CRM's new staff orientation, "First Things", January 25 - February 1, 2013.
The event will begin Friday, January 25th with a 5pm Welcome Dinner, and will end Thursday evening, January 31st at 5pm. For those who are interested, there will be an additional morning, Friday February 1, to take care of any outstanding issues you may want to cover with our Central Support staff in the Anaheim office or to gain additional technical training in our internal systems. If you are flying home, we ask that you not book your departure for the evening of the 31st but wait until the morning of February 1st to ensure you don't miss out on any of the sessions.
About "First Things"
"First Things" is CRM's brief but engaging introduction to our journey as CRM, including our history, vision and values as an organization. We also introduce you to our approach to ministry, and equip you with the tools and methods you need to get started in developing a support base with your ministry partners.
This is your opportunity to gain insight into the culture of CRM as an organization and build relationships with others in Kingdom work alongside you. Therefore it is very important you plan to attend each session for the entire week.
-We make every attempt to ensure you feel at home with your new ministry family, so we strongly encourage husbands and wives to attend together if possible. This is particularly true as the support raising training is key for both spouses participation. (We are sorry, but we are not able to arrange or provide child care for this event at this time.)
-While in town for this training we would be happy to arrange housing for you if that's something you're interested in. Please indicate your preference on the registration page.
-Many of the training materials will be available online upon arrival, so if you have a laptop, please bring it with you. If you are interested in purchasing a laptop, please contact Mike Lalonde at firstname.lastname@example.org.
-Important: Please do not purchase airfare until we have confirmed with you that the event is indeed taking place. In the case that too few people are able to attend, the event may be cancelled.
Please RSVP to the event no later than December 21st. We will then send you a schedule of events and some preperation materials once we've received your RSVP, so please let us know if you will be coming as soon as possible.
