Alicia Boone, Coordinator of Adult Programs at Brooklyn Museum
Alicia Boone is the Culture-Connector, committed to creating and supporting the growth of artistic businesses. After receiving her M.P.S in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute in 2009, Ms. Boone received an opportunity to contribute her skills to the Education Division at the Brooklyn Museum as the Coordinator of all Adult Programs. Alongside a team of two full-time staff and two intern educators Boone coordinates over 100 programs and reaches well over 100,000 visitors each year. Ms. Boone’s previous experience includes working as the Interim Education Director and lead class facilitator with World Up, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about international politics and issues that affect the global community through Hip-Hop and socially progressive culture. While working with World Up, Boone redeveloped a new educational curriculum called World Up EDU. In addition to her work in education, she founded So Live! Arts in 2006, an arts exhibition and professional development company whose vision is to empower artists by providing a variety of resources in the areas of business and financial education. Alicia Boone continues to create value for organizations and corporations that recognize the power of the arts and community development. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
