Reinvention

How (and why) does one leave a lucrative career in Hollywood, and set out to write novels? Learn what Robin Palmer found out when she did that very thing. And now, after successfully building a career as a novelist, with ten novels published by Penguin, she's reinventing herself again.

While people were shocked that she'd walk away from success, Robin Palmer has learned that fear isn't enough to keep her doing things she no longer has the desire to do. She has reinvented herself repeatedly, to stay fresh and in the flow creatively.

Reinvention. Whether it's reinventing your creative approach, making a professional change, launching (or relaunching) a business, or overhauling a lifestyle, it's a necessary part of life.

Come join us to hear her story and her secrets to successful reinvention.

About Robin Palmer

Robin Palmer

After graduating from Boston University in 1990 with a degree in Mass Communication, Robin moved to Hollywood. Starting as an assistant in the television literary department of the William Morris Agency, she quickly moved up the ranks and spent the next decade as a literary agent, producer, and television network executive at Lifetime Television, where she developed more than one hundred scripts and oversaw the production of over thirty of the cable network’s original movies. In 2001, she walked away from the executive world, started selling her Manolo Blahniks on eBay to pay the rent, and began writing. In addition to publishing 10 Young Adult and Middle Grade novels, she has written numerous screenplays and TV pilots.

She currently lives in Louisiana.
