Weekly Event - Every Wednesday: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
This course offers an introduction to clay as an artistic medium. Students will learn basic techniques, including handbuilding, wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. The goal is that students will gain enough ceramic knowledge and experience to continue with ceramics on their own or at a higher level. Class meets once a week for eight weeks with a two hour class each week and the studio fee gives students unlimited access to glaze and clay for the semester. By the end of the course students will be able to make small bowls and mugs on the pottery wheel.
Note: When signing up for this event just sign-up for the first class of the semester and you will be automatically signed up for every subsequent class after that.
This course is taught by Olin sophomore Maddie Perry
