Creative Arts for Stress Management
Saturday, Feb 8 - 1pm to 3pm
Creative thinking is a resource we can develop and put to greater use with positive, stress reducing effects in our life. Involvement in arts activities is a powerful method of connecting with the creative spirit that resides in all people. Everyone has creative abilityand you don’t need to be an artist to enjoy creative arts. Participants will experience “creative stress relief” through visualization, color, movement, words with poetic value, music of the world, scribbling as a form of drawing, and group juggling.
All of the activities are fun, promote laughter, and can be used for personal or family enjoyment. There is no judging of ability since everyone is at the same skill level during the activities. Everyone has a choice of activities and choice to participate. Handouts include suggestions for many types of stress reducing activities.
