Cranbrook Bus Trip

October 12th, there will be a bus trip to Cranbrook Academy of Art to visit the George Nelson Exhibit and experience some of Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This trip will include students and faculty from Kendall and Design West Michigan members.
The bus will leave Kendall College of Art and Design at 8:00 a.m. Friday, October 12th and return around 7:00 p.m.
The trip includes a presentation on George Nelson that uses his own words/voice sharing his relationship with Herman Miller, visiting/experiencing the Nelson exhibit, lunch in the Cranbrook Boys Academy Dining Hall, a visit to Milles House; designed by Aero Saarinen for the sculptor Carl Milles, a tour of Cranbrook’s exhibit, “Vision and Interpretation: Building Cranbrook, 1904-2012” and a special tour into Cranbrook’s new Collections Wing. (The mother lode of Mid-Century modern)
