Crafty Concoctions - 5 Week Class
Autumn Learning for Adults

Every Monday from 15 September - 13 October

Try out just one or all five of this quintet of crafts and gain new jewellery and gift making skills. No previous experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm to explore and experiment with colour, meet new people and have fun. Sessions can be booked individually or as a 5 week course and include:

Week 1 - Button Jewellery Making
Come and learn how to recycle and up-cycle simple everyday objects such as buttons and beads into quirky and wearable jewellery.

Week 2 - Scented Gifts from the Garden
An opportunity to make small gifts from dried and scented herbs, flowers, leaves and spices; you will learn basic hand sewing skills, decorating fabric and gift tags to accompany your gifts. If you have fresh herbs in your garden, bring some with you and we will help identify and find creative ideas to use them. No previous experience needed, just a keen sense of smell!

Week 3 - An 'All in One' Gift for Budding Gardeners
Decorate a pot, create seed packets, seed markers, gift tags and hand printed gift wrap to make an attractive (but inexpensive gift) for a gardener. Come and join in the creativity and make a present for someone who has green fingers!

Week 4 - Autumn Beaded Felt Broach
Recycle and up-cycle fabric, wool, felt, and leather remnants into your own individually designed brooch. Learn touse basic hand-sewing and simple embroidery skills to add beads, buttons and stitches to embellish your winter coats with flowering summer broaches.

Week 5 - Juicy Jewellery
Celebrate harvest time with this jewellery making workshop for beginners. You will create a pair of cherry earings using glass beads and silver plated wires, progressing to bunches of grapes if time permits! You will learn basic wire working skills using a variety of pliers and wire to make some fruity earings!
