Want to expand your cocktail making repertoire and interested in what craft cocktail really means? Then join us on for a summer afternoon at the lovely outdoor garden at Five Crowns Restaurant where mixologist Benjamin Webb will teach us how. We will be sipping and learning how to make delicious craft cocktails made from freshly squeezed citrus, bitters, herbs and various spirits.
This summer on June 27th, The Bungalow Restaurant, in Newport Beach, held a Summer Muddled Cocktail Contest. We are proud to share the news that our mixologist, Benjamin Webb, who is teaching our upcoming class on Craft Cocktails on August 4th, won the contest with his amazing concoction called The Mifflin. During this craft cocktail class you will have a chance to imbibe in a traditional punch libation, precursor to the modern cocktail. You will be introduced to a brief history of spirits, enjoy a primer on the tools of the trade and instruction on the best way to taste. The two hour class will also include a tasting and sampling of various gins and instructions on how to make four gin and whiskey based classic cocktails along with recipe cards you can take home. You will learn how to make two gin cocktails, The Martinez and The Aviation and two whiskey cocktails, Whiskey Sour and Manhattan.
Kyle Castanon, the distiller from Greenbar Collective Distillery in Los Angeles, will be joining us and one of the gins we will taste is Greenbar's TRU Organic Gin.

Ben has an environmental background with a passion for sustainable & local spirits and drink. He has created and served cocktails for 10 Outstanding in the Field events over the past 3 years as well as numerous private events for local spirits companies, individuals, and organizations. He has work closely with the head bartenders at ARC in the OC Mart Mix as well.
Appetizers served will include: a selection of Cheese and Charcuterie, Braised Beef Short Rib and English Cheddar Gougeres.
Parking will be free in the Five Crowns parking lot adjacent to the restaurant.
All proceeds will benefit community garden and artisan food projects in Orange County.
Refund Policy: Tickets are non-refundable except if the event is cancelled.
