CQ-Roll Call Policy Breakfast:
The Future of Broadband
moderated by: Mike Mills, Editorial Director, CQ-Roll Call Group
This CQ-Roll Call Policy Breakfast will look at the issues surrounding the recent FCC Broadband Plan's suggestions. Discussion topics may include: Will access to more of the radio spectrum allow wireless companies to expand broadband offerings for portable devices? Will it increase innovation? What are the actual needs for industries and government functions? What are the applications of broadband access in rural areas? Should speed and access be improved in existing networks before rural access can be addressed? With other developed nations outpacing the United States in both speed and access - what are the current challenges facing U.S. broadband service? Does the NBP adequately address them?
