CPR for Parents & Family @ Little Beans Cafe in Chicago
Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (CST)
When was your last CPR class? When you were pregnant? Would you know what to do for a choking or water emergency? This fun class features the "Family & Friends CPR Course" content from the American Heart Association. It teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. Skills are taught in a fun, dynamic group environment by using the AHA's research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the hands-on CPR practice time using the industry's best manikins. This class is especially geared for parents. CPR Instructors have experience working with more than 20,000 new families, and we are skilled in the safety challenges that new parents face. We also include the other essential safety information specific to new families: SIDS prevention, poison control and car seat safety. Will you have little ones in tow? Supervised play during class time is available from Little Beans staff for an additional fee. This must be arranged 24 hours before the class by contacting Ashley@littlebeanscafe.com. Little Beans is a "sock only, no shoes" play space. Be prepared to wear socks and remove your shoes.
