The mission of the National 8(a) Association is to provide teaming and networking services to the 8(a) certified, disadvantaged, and small business communities. The National 8(a) Association is the proud recipient of the Small Business Administrations’ (SBA) Teaming Pilot Program grant, empowering us to take greater strides in furthering our goals.
The Core Training Sessions were created to further our goals and mission. We would like to invite our members to take part in this initial venture with us. The session will be taught by Mr. Walter Featherly and Mr. Robert Tompkins of Patton Boggs and hosted by Ron Perry of the National 8(a) Association.
The day will begin with an overview of the Teaming Pilot Program grant, the purpose of forming teams, the ins and outs of teaming agreements, and a review of some teaming agreement templates.
After lunch we will move into the second half of the session: facilitating team formation from the present companies. We will start with company introductions, then create teaming agreements, and finally help prioritize targeting contracts of maximum benefit to the new teams.
The cost of this training session is $95.00, which will cover the costs of the session that the grant does not.
PLEASE NOTE: All attendees upon signing up and attending this event will also be agreeing to report new teams, as well as any contracts sought after, and/or won by each team to fulfill the requirements as set forth by the Teaming Pilot Program Grant.
