Enjoy live music, aperitifs and appetizers in the orchard, then take a tour of the farm, all leading up to a three course dinner served at a long table out in the fields.
Dancing Roots Farm is a small, family owned farm in Troutdale (20 minutes east of Portland). Aside from offering an outstanding CSA share, they provide produce to some of the best restaurants in Portland. Looking to organizations like Renewing America's Food Traditions and Seed Savers, Shari and Bryan are growing organic vegetable, fruit, flower and herb varieties that are less common and simply more delicious than most everything else we've seen.
Dinner, along with Bryan and Shari's produce and Nick and Sheila's wines will include pasture raised chickens from Terra Farma. Located just a few miles from Dancing Roots, Mike and Linda's farm is the product of two environmentalists also being food lovers and working a pasture based farm to produce meats, eggs and dairy.
Anam Cara Cellars is a small, family owned vineyard and winery in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Since 2001, Nick and Sheila Nicholas, along with their two children Mark and Heather and wine dogs Buck and Missy, have been crafting small lots of superb Pinot noir, and dry Riesling from the vines that surround their home. Their wines are deeply layered, clean and elegant, and reflective of the character of their vineyard site.
