SPEAKERS:

Jamie Yoshida, Vice President, Irvine Community Development Company

Jeff Thompson, Vice President, Rancho Mission Viejo              and

John Danvers, Vice President, Shea Homes

 

 

TOPIC: 

The speakers will present current and upcoming land development projects. Learn about near-term and longer-term economic forecasts with respect to the Orange County housing market.

  

SPEAKERS:

JAMIE YOSHIDA, P.E.  P.L.S.
Vice President Engineering-Irvine Community Development Company

Mr. Yoshida currently serves as Vice President, Engineering at Irvine Community Development Company.  Some key projects he has worked on include: Newport Coast, Crystal Cove, Turtle Ridge, Shady Canyon, Quail Hill, Northwood, Woodbury, Portola Springs, Orchard Hills, Cypress Village, Santiago Hills II, and Mountain Park. 

Jamie previously worked at Van Dell and Associates for seven years in positions ranging from Design Engineer to Executive Vice President.  While at Van Dell and Associates he worked on several infrastructure, residential, retail, and industrial projects primarily in Southern California.  He earned MSCE and BSCE degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.  Jamie was recipient of ASCE Orange County’s 2010 Land Development Engineer of the Year Award.

  

JEFF R. THOMPSON, P.E.  P.L.S.
Vice President – Development Engineering-Rancho Mission Viejo

Jeff R. Thompson is Vice President of Development Engineering for Rancho Mission Viejo, L.L.C., managers of the 23,000-acre Rancho Mission Viejo “Ranch Plan” and master planners of the 4,000-acre Ladera Ranch community. Jeff has been responsible for implementation of infrastructure for the “Ranch Plan” and manages Rancho Mission Viejo’s water resources for water conservation and reuse within the Ranch Plan.  He also coordinates development impacts with Ranch operations and public agencies for permitting and approvals.

Jeff’s 20 years experience includes Walt Disney, CH2M Hill, and consulting to governmental municipalities, districts, and schools.  He is licensed as a Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor in California.  He earned a BSCE and MSCE from CSU Long Beach and a MBA from USC.  He is the recipient of: ASCE Orange County’s 2011 Land Development Engineer of the Year Award; OCBC’s Turning Red Tape into Red Carpet Partnership Award for 2011; and ACEC Award of Excellence for 2011.

  

JOHN C. DANVERS  
Vice President of Community Development-Shea Homes, L.P.

John Danvers currently serves as the Vice President of Community Development for Shea Homes Southern California Division, which covers Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.  He oversees real estate due diligence, land planning, entitlement, land development, offsite purchasing, Governmental relations and architectural design. 

John has over 22 years of real estate and construction experience involving land development, engineering, Master Planned communities, custom home design, contract administration and Special District financing.  John is a Civil Engineer with a Bachelors of Science degree from CSULB and a member of the California Bar with a Juris Doctor degree from Western State University.
