Event Details

According to the U.S. Census, over 15 percent of the American population lives below      the poverty line. However, this statistic does not capture the true cost of poverty.  It does    not portray the individual stories that are so common among low-income neighborhoods, nor does it convey poverty's impact on families, businesses or communities.

The Cost of Poverty Experience is a glimpse into the lives of those living below the poverty line in our community.  It is a offers insight into the obstacles that are faced, the decisions that are made, and the consequences that impact these families every day.

Attending this session is a powerful way to jumpstart higher impact methods for addressing some of the most challenging issues facing our community.

Think Tank, Inc.

Think Tank was established in 2005 in Springfield, OH by three professionals who sought to offer training and consulting for health and human service organizations.   The vision was to realize a coordinated service delivery system that possessed the capacity to best serve vulnerable citizens in our community.  Since our inception, the evolution of this vision included moving beyond organizational to community capacity building by inspiring and equipping our region to alleviate poverty through holistic, relationally based models of poverty alleviation.

As a training and consulting organization, we have expanded our scope to serve organizations and community groups in Greater Dayton, OH and through various national networks.  Think Tank continues to utilize and develop training tools and models that can be adapted to a variety of communities wanting to impact change.
