Be a Healthy Hero and Foodlink know that stretching your food budget can be a challenge these days. That’s why we’ve teamed up to offer Cooking Matters at the Store tours for Rochester parents.
Cooking Matters at the Store is an interactive grocery store tour for parents of 4-10 year-olds that teaches you how to make healthy choices for your family at the supermarket.
Each self-guided tour is about an hour long, with learning and sampling stations throughout the store. Each station is lead by a culinary and/or nutrition expert and covers key shopping skills like comparing unit prices, reading nutrition labels, identifying whole grains and buying various forms of fruits and vegetables.
