Do you have a serious cookie addiction? Take it to the next level in this hands-on workshop and learn baking basics like properly measuring dry ingredients with a scale; using the right equipment and tools; and essential techniques such as whisking, beating, grating, zesting, browning butter, and how to make ingredient substitutions. We’ll work on a few versatile cookie and frosting recipes (including vanilla buttercream, orange glaze, cream cheese frosting, and browned butter frosting), and we’ll also explore the different textures and consistencies of cake flour, bread flour, and sour cream. Bring your sweet tooth, and come get inspired for your own cookie creations!
On the Menu: Carrot-Cake Cookie Sandwiches with Cream Cheese Frosting; Glazed Earl Grey Cookies; Orchard Crumble Cookies with Apple Cider Spices; Browned Butter Cookies; Homemade Oreos.
