Event Details

Join host 1% for the Planet, its member companies, and the NGOs they support for a dialogue on Protecting BC’s Coastal Waters. From near shore logging, to industrial outflows and increasing tanker traffic, the pristine wilderness of BC’s coast is confronted by numerous environmental challenges. Join us for the first in our national series of Conversations on Conservation to learn about ongoing work to protect this global treasure.

Featuring business leaders and local NGO leaders:

  • Marc St. Onge, CEO, Ascenta Health
  • Christianne Wilhelmson, Executive Director, Georgia Strait Alliance
  • Jeffery Young, Aquatic Biologist, David Suzuki Foundation
  • Sabine Jessen, National Oceans Manager, CPAWS-BC

After brief addresses, the speakers will sit as a panel for your questions and answers about this important topic, and a networking reception will follow the discussion
