Gain insight into the most influential artists working today with MOCA’s Contemporary Art Boot Camp. Designed for the novice to the aficionado, MOCA Executive Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater shares her perspective based on her own original research and personal contacts with the artists who have defined contemporary art. Clearwater’s first Contemporary Art Boot Camp of 2013 will be held Wednesday, February 13 from 7 to 9 pm. Entitled Failure By Design, Clearwater will discuss the work of Mike Kelley, Frank Stella, Richard Prince, Tracey Emin, Cory Arcangel and Sterling Ruby and how they address the theme of failure in art. Admission to Contemporary Art Boot Camp with Bonnie Clearwater is $10 for members of the museum and residents and city employees of North Miami and $15 for non-members. Lectures will take place at the museum and galleries are open until 9 pm.
