Connected Development Festival
Partos Innovationfestival and Open Development Camp join forces and proudly present the Connected Development Festival on Friday November 13th in Theater aan het Spui in The Hague, the Netherlands. With the motif ‘social meets tech’ we promise you an inspiring program about innovation in areas such as inclusion, the space for civil society, data activism, and the current refugee crisis.
It is a day to find inspiration, to discover and discuss, to meet old and new friends, and create new connections for innovation and impact. The extensive program features lightning talks, hands-on workshops, interactive sessions and debates, our own Campaign Train, a Dragons' Den and the Innovation Safari. We hope to see you there!
The festival program is filled with a range of different workshops on innovation and impact. From using Design Thinking to create the Future NGO, to the workings of the Exclusion Radar to map the people confronted by absolute poverty. And from Democratizing the Data Revolution to Optimizing the use of Open Data in e.g. the donor feedback and engaging the local communities.
In this grand finale of 'Business without Borders', five ambitious start-ups will pitch their innovation- and impact-driven businesses to the audience and a jury. The entrepreneurs are finalists in the 6th edition of the business plan competition ‘Ondernemen Zonder Grenzen’, which supports social entrepreneurs from the Netherlands and their pioneering work in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Join us on a safari through the theater to discover exiting innovations from Dutch organizations. Together with your own tour guide, you will explore the latest innovative initiatives and learn what happened to the initiatives Partos presented last year in their ‘Van Start-ups tot Striphelden’ (From Startups to Comic Heroes) publication.
Connected Development Festival brings together an international audience of professionals from different walks of life: NGOs, activists, campaigners, developers, designers, researchers, journalists, social entrepreneurs, businesses and policy makers.Combi- tickets for the Connected Development Festival and Border Sessions will be available - so you can make the most of your trip to The Hague.
