The Wine Campaigner defines VGS as:
"I have tasted all the wines of the world and VGS wines are at the pinnacle of their industry. Quite honestly, in my most un-humble (and subsequently Latin opinion) VGS can only mean one thing, Vitis Grandus Selectus!"
The wines of VGS Chateau Potelle are available exclusively to visiting guests and their club members, not in stores. We'll enjoy four, small production wines, including "The Illegitimate," a delicious blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Zinfandel and Syrah.
Wine and food pairing tastings at VGS Chateau Potelle are $45 per person. WWS members enjoy this unique experience for only $25 this evening and non-members for $40.
Jean-Noel Fourmeaux, a 3rd generation winemaker from Bordeaux, came to California to find out what the New World winemakers were doing. Upon arriving in Napa he said:
"Looks good. We stay."
That was our message back to France in 1980 after we spied on California.
Au revoir France.
Hello Napa Valley!
Say "Bonjour" to VGS Chateau Potelle!
Big Firm Know How, Small Firm Know You
This event is generously sponsored in part by Burr Pilger Mayer. They deliver the resources, experience and know-how of a Big 4 with the responsiveness and accessibility of a local firm.
WWS events always include a raffle or silent auction as a fundraiser for our scholarship fund. Donating to our raffle or silent auction is a great way to get your products or services seen. Great donations may include:
Wine ∙ Gift Certificates ∙ Spa Packages
Dinner for Two ∙ Complimentary Wine Tasting
Wine Accessories ∙ Travel ∙ Lodging ∙ Magazine Subscription
Gift Baskets ∙ Gourmet Foods ∙ Golf Package
Wine & Food Pairing ∙ Winemaker Dinner
Stemware ∙ Books & Music ∙ Art
If you are interested in donating for our raffle at this event, please contact Christine Mueller at President@WWSNapaSonoma.com to make a contribution.
100% of proceeds from our raffle or silent auction go to our WWS scholarship fund. There are many ways you can contribute to our scholarship fund to help deserving students meet their wine and viticultural education goals with us:
Last year Women for WineSense allocated $5,000 in scholarship funds to four grateful students enrolled in wine/viticulture studies at U.C. Davis, Sonoma State University, Napa Valley College and Santa Rosa Junior College.

NETWORKING LIKE A PRO
Networking at a wine country event can be challenging--even intimidating. Why? The goal is to meet lots of strangers...which makes many nervous or uncomfortable.
How many people do you need to meet and exchange cards with to make it a success?
Will they remember you as well as you remember them?
The best way to ensure success is to map out a little networking plan, prepare a dazzling elevator speech, practice it and then put it into motion! Oh, yeah--you'll need to do all that and carry a wine glass around with you too.
Need help with a sure-fire, guaranteed-success plan? Read How to Network Like a Seasoned Pro on our blog, the first of four posts on networking skills.
In order to purchase these tickets in installments, you'll need an Eventbrite account. Log in or sign up for a free account to continue.
