Connect Northwest Pitch Clinic
Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM (PDT)
Are you ready to pitch?
Raising capital from angel investors can be a challenge, particularly given just a few slides and a few minutes to distill your entire business plan into a compelling presentation. What information is critical? How much detail is enough, or too much? What do angel investors consider when evaluating an investment opportunity? And is angel financing even right for your startup?
Having interviewed dozens of companies and angel investors, we have developed a set of guidelines and best practices for creating effective presentations that resonate with investors. Our Pitch Clinic is an interactive workshop in which we will explain the basics of angel financing and share these best practices for presentations. This is an excellent opportunity not only to hone your investor pitch, but to refine your messaging and to determine whether angel funding is a viable option for you.
You usually have only one chance to impress an investor. Before you take that first shot, come to our clinic to get the inside information you need to know.
This workshop format consists of:
Ø An overview of angel financing, and of the Spokane Angel Alliance.
Ø The components of an effective pitch (do’s and don’t’s).
Ø Interactive discussion with your fellow participants to work on your specific start-up messaging.
Ø Reception at 5:00 (after clinic): enjoy some refreshments, network with your new friends and test out your newly honed elevator speech!
Your company can be just an idea, a fully developed business or at any stage in between; you will still benefit from honing your message and learning how to approach potential investors. No preparation is necessary--all you need to bring is your vision for your company and a willingness to participate!
Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
