Congresswoman Speier's ERA Rally
Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM (PDT)
Redwood City, CA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The Equal Rights Amendment was first introduced in Congress in 1923. Ninety-one years later we’re still fighting to get women into the U.S. Constitution, the blueprint for how we want our republic to function.
Join us on August 26th at 3:30 p.m. at Courthouse Square outside the San Mateo County History Museum for a rally in celebration of the anniversary of the 19th Amendment, and demand that women and men be equal under the eyes of the law.
The speaking program will begin at 3:30pm. RSVPS are recommended as space is limited.
Attendees are encouraged to wear blue and white shirts to the rally, and bring signs in support of the ERA. We will be passing out red bandanas to channel Rosie the Riveter.
For social media, we will be using the hashtag #ERAnow. Links to Congresswoman's Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram pages can be found at the top of her website at www.speier.house.gov.
