Share Community Bike Ride

Event Details

Hop on your Bikes and let's ride together! You're invited to team up with Maxwell Park, Mills College and East Bay Bike communities to ride the LAMMPS corridor (Laurel Access to Mills, Maxwell Park & Seminary). Join us to kick off our community Bike Ride on Sunday April 27 from 10:30 am to 1 pm. Invite your friends!

Cyclists will enjoy a short ride on the repaved and newly striped bike lanes along MacArthur Boulevard near Mills College: from High Street to Seminary, where the City of Oakland has recently completed aspects of the LAMMPS Preferred Concept Plan (new bike lanes, and traffic calming).
We will gather and sign-in at Adam’s Plaza (the central plaza near the student union) on the Mills College Campus at 10:30 AM. By 11:00AM we will begin riding from Mills along MacArthur, toward the Laurel District, back toward Mills/Maxwell Park, to 55th and Seminary and return to Mills for the second part of our celebration.
Stick around Mills campus after this celebratory ride for music, games, more biking, family fun and connecting with your neighbors. Bike rides around Mills campus during the street ride will also take place for our younger helmeted attendees.
Sponsored by the MPNC - Blight and Beautification Neighborhood Action Team (B&B NAT) and Mills College, with support from Bike East Bay. Stay tuned for upcoming details and developments. Questions? Contact Clare Hart-Slattery at or Laura Nicodemus at
LAMMPS is a community-driven, community-based plan designed to improve transportation conditions along Macarthur Boulevard between High Street and Seminary Ave. For more details on the LAMMPS project, see . Specific questions on LAMMPS? Contact Clare Antonetti  at
