COMMUNICATING IN A MULTIGENERATIONAL OFFICE

In an ever-changing work environment, senior executives and mid-level managers need to work together with Millennials to create jobs that allow everyone to thrive. The traditional way of working has changed -- the work-life balance has been dismantled and the separation of personal and business is blurring. Communicating in the workplace is becoming more casual and Millennials are valuing efficiency over formality.

Things are more social, interactive, and engaging and college graduates are longing for jobs that allow them to be more autonomous and that give them the opportunity to create social good. Yet, there needs to be a median in which young professionals also can work collaboratively and effectively with their senior managers.

IABC LA, in collaboration with American Marketing Association LA and the UCLA Extension, will be hosting a diverse panel discussion around the topic "Communicating in a Multigenerational Office" to discuss the idea of a collaborative compromise.
