Committed to Communities: Atlanta Capitol View area
Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
RESOLUTION 2013 - OWN IT!
You are invited to our 7th Committed to Communities event which will showcase homeownership possibilities in Capitol View and adjacent neighborhoods. This home and community tour on Saturday, March 30th will include approximately 10 homes for sale. Some homes will be in walking distance, while others will be a short drive away. The starting point for the tour will be Perkerson Park at the corner of Deckner Avenue and Beatie Avenue.
To help individuals achieve homeownership in 2013:
- Down payment assistance providers will be available to explain how to obtain funds that can help you with your purchase, including NeighborhoodLIFT ($15,000).
- Loan officers will be on hand to discuss 203k renovation loans for purchasing an affordable fixer-upper, as well as traditional financing for ready-to-go homes.
- Home buyer education providers will explain how to become a fully informed buyer.
Prices for the available homes will range from about $35,000 to $125,000. The current low cost Atlanta housing market offers an unprecedented opportunity to purchase a home and start investing in your future! With the much-anticipated Atlanta BeltLine adding value and appeal to city neighborhoods, the communities of Southwest Atlanta are attractive destinations for those who wish to live close to downtown while surrounding themselves with a small-town feel.
In addition to open house tours like this one, the Committed to Communities program works to promote Atlanta Beltline communities through community-wide clean-ups, hosting barbecues in local parks and actively renovating vacant homes.
