Please join us for our Columbia Entrepreneurship Lecture Series on March 20th, 2012 to hear from Vishal Misra, CTO of recent Columbia enterprise software start-up, Silver Lining Systems (now Infinio) and former Vice Chair of Columbia’s Computer Science Department. Vishal launched Infinio as CEO along with his colleague Dan Rubenstein, also from Computer Science, in Fall of 2011. Based on an innovative approach to datacenter networking, Silver Lining went from inception to seed round to a $12M Series A in 9 short months. Vishal recruited a professional management team and has now transitioned into a CTO role at the company. Funded by top-tier VCs such as Bessemer, Highland, and Lightspeed, Infinio plans to launch its first commercial product this summer.
Vishal will share his experience and answer audience questions about launching the company, pitching to VCs, negotiating early financing, hiring a team, scaling up the R&D, and preparing for product launch. Any aspiring tech entrepreneurs are encouraged to join.
Vishal will also share his prior experience launching CricInfo, the world's most popular sports website - a distinction it has held for 17 straight years since inception – which was subsequently acquired by ESPN.
