Organizer

Colorado Young Leaders

Colorado Young Leaders is a non-profit organization that aims to develop young people's leadership skills by inspiring a sense of adventure through meaningful service-learning opportunities in the local community.  We help create a space for students to live out their discovered skills and passions to encourage a new generation of leaders.
CYL students
1. Learn through Serving: Students develop leadership skills through individual service commitments with a local non-profit partner that challenge them to lead.
2. Learn through Community: Students gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of community through their service, and cultivate a culture that serves among their peers. Students learn to think critically about the service they are providing others and build a genuine relationship with the non- profit leaders and the community members.
3. Learn through Adventure: Students engage in outdoor experiential education experiences that challenge them physically, mentally, and socially.
4. Learn through Core Curriculum: Students meet bimonthly with CYL staff members to engage in leadership lessons and hear from community speakers.
5. Learn through Diversity: Students will experience an inclusive environment, where young leaders come from various ethnicities, religions, schools, and income levels, and we serve various ethnicities, religions, schools, and income levels.

The CYL Creed:
I am not a label, I am a young person, with everything I need to foster amazing community around me. Right here, right now, today.
