Evening Schedule:

6:00-7:00 pm - College of Nursing Pinning Ceremony

The pinning ceremony is the culmination of the initial journey to the professional nursing education. Today nurses do not wear their traditional whites and nursing cap in the health care environment. They do however, proudly wear their nursing pin that clearly states that they are an RN or registered nurse which distinguishes them from all other health care professionals and para-professionals. At this speical ceremony given for the graduating nursing students, family and friends: the students dedicate their nursing pin to someone who helped them along their journey.

7:00-7:30 pm - Reception; light appetizers and dessert.

7:30-8:30 pm - Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International’s Omicron Delta Chapter member induction.

The honor society was founded by innovative thinkers who looked forward to a profession that recognizes and uses knowledge and learning to lead in service to others.

Founded in 1922 by six students of nursing atIndianaUniversityin theUnited States of America, the honor society began with one chapter and six members. During the past 85 years, it has evolved to 451 chapters across the globe, with more than 400,000 inducted members who are active in more than 90 countries and territories.
