- Community & Culture
- Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn NY
Set in the tumultuous decade prior to the Civil War, this original musical explores the tensions between Brooklyn’s economic ties to southern slavery and the moral imperative of a small group of anti-slavery activists. Called “courageous and compelling” by The NY Times, Color Between the Lines is a project of In Pursuit of Freedom, a partnership between BHS, Weeksville Heritage Center and Irondale Ensemble Project.
