Morgan Karr Bio:
For award-winning entertainer MORGAN KARR, luck is not something that happens to you; luck is something you create. A Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, Morgan was born in Nashville where he began voice & piano lessons at the age of nine. Growing up in the heart of Music City exposed him to genres ranging from country & gospel to pop music & musical theater. Through these influences and inspirations, he's cultivated a style that is unmistakably his own.
Following a successful 2010, where Morgan won first place in "Amateur Night" at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, Morgan released his self-titled EP on May 11th, 2011, co-produced by Grammy-nominated Producer Juan Patiño (Lisa Loeb's "Stay"), Kevin Fisher (Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans), and Cliff Goldmacher. The EP broke the top 100 Singer/Songwriters on iTunes in the first week of its release. In 2012 he won the John Lennon Songwriting Competition through Sonicbids to perform at the annual NAMM Convention in Anaheim. Many may remember Morgan from his work on Broadway in the 8-time Tony Award and GRAMMY®-winning pop musical "Spring Awakening."Morgan has called Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Nashville home - but home is a feeling and his music, a reflection. Morgan released his "yellow skies" EP on March 5th, 2013 produced by Alex Wong (Delta Rae, Ari Hest, Sara Bareilles). For more information visit Morgan Karr's website.
Janelle Kroll Brio:
Singer-songwriter/entertainer JANELLE KROLL was most recently seen representing her home city of Chicago on THE CW's The Next (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjPGQosbTRQ). Janelle has been featured at staple Chicago venues (e.g. House of Blues, The Vic, Double Door, Schubas, Subterranean, and Beat Kitchen) and rocked parties like After Dark in the Modern Wing at the Art Institute with her rhythmically driven tunes and sweet and soulful croon. As of late, Janelle has joined creative forces with house music pioneer Vince Lawrence of Slang Music Group and multi-platinum producer/artist B. Howard (UMG) to create her much awaited EP featuring her pop touched by soul and rock sensibility.
Janelle Kroll is thrilled to commence her transplanted life in NYC at Brooklyn Bowl. Special thanks to her alma mater's Greater NU Club of NYC and NU Entertainment Alliance!
