Formative Assessment - Jim Huber
Formative assessments are dynamic strategies that not only help students engage and become responsible for their own learning, but also provide the instructor with valuable data critical to making informed decisions regarding instruction. If you are looking for active, engaging (and dare we say, even fun) instructional strategies you can begin using in your classroom immediately, this is a workshop for you.
ELL Students - Cheryl Bunton
Our student populations are so diverse and we are continually trying to meet their needs. You will receive several informative ideas, activities, and strategies to support your struggling students while targeting their learning styles.
Technology in the K-12 Classroom - Brent Fullmer
Learn strategies for incorporating smart boards, clickers, document cameras, and more in your daily lesson plans. This will be a hands-on activity that allows participants to practice with various technology tools.
Fun Fabulous Foldables – Allison Armstrong
Foldables are an exciting hands-on tool that can be used with any age learners for assessment, help students make connections, and learn skills such as cause and effect, vocabulary, concepts and theories. They are a way to implement brain-based research and visual kinesthetic learning. Plus, and this is a big one - they are FUN! Join Allison for a hands-on workshop learning to make foldables and how to use them in your curriculum.
